【摘要】:Thistestmethodisausefuladjuncttodynamicthermalteststhatareperformedunderconditionsinwhichthesampletemperatureisincreasedcontinuouslyataprogrammedrate.Resultsobtainedunderdynamictestconditionspresentdifficultiesindeterminingthetemperatureatwhichanexotherminitiatesbecauseonsettemperatureisdependentonheatingrate.Thetestmethoddescribedinthepresentstandardattemptstodeterminetheonsettemperatureunderisothermalconditionswheretheheatingrateiszero.1.1Thistestmethoddescribestheassessmentofconstant-temperaturestabilityofchemicalmaterialsthatundergoexothermicreactions.Thetechniquesandapparatusdescribedmaybeusedonsolids,liquids,orslurriesofchemicalsubstances.1.2Whenaseriesofmaterialsistestedbythismethod,theresultspermitorderingthematerialsrelativetoeachotherwithrespecttotheirthermalstability.1.3LimitationsofTest1.3.1Thistestmethodislimitedtoambienttemperaturesandabove.1.3.2Thistestmethoddeterminesneitherasafestoragetemperaturenorasafeprocessingtemperature.Note1Asafestorageorprocessingtemperaturerequiresthatanyheatproducedbyareactionberemovedasfastasgeneratedandthatproperconsiderationbegiventohazardsassociatedwithreactionproducts.1.3.3Whenthistestmethodisusedtoordertherelativethermalstabilityofmaterials,thetestsmustberununderthesameconfinementcondition(see).1.4SIunitsarethestandard.1.5Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduseThisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityofwhoeverusesthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
