【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresforelectricaltestingofthermoplasticinsulationsandjacketsusedontelecommunicationswireandcableandforthetestingofelectricalcharacteristicsofcompletedproducts.Todeterminetheproceduretobeusedontheparticularinsulationorjacketcompound,orontheendproduct,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationfortheproduct.Thetestmethodsappearinthefollowingsectionsofthisstandard:Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.SIunitsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSectionsand.In-processelectricaltestsareusedprimarilyasprocesscontroltoolsinanattempttominimizethenumberandmagnitudeofproblemsdetectedatfinaltestofcompletedcable.ElectricaltestsofcompletedwireandcablemayincludeverificationofsomeorallofthepropertiesinaccordancewithSectionsthrough.
