【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheflashpoint,bytagmanualandautomatedclosedtesters,ofliquidswithaviscositybelow5.5mm/s(cSt)at40?C(104?F),orbelow9.5mm/s(cSt)at25?C(77?F),andaflashpointbelow93?C(200?F).Fortheclosed-cupflashpointofliquidswiththefollowingproperties:aviscosityof5.5mm/s(cSt)ormoreat40?C(104?F);aviscosityof9.5mm/s(cSt)ormoreat25?C(77?F);aflashpointof93?C(200?F)orhigher;atendencytoformasurfacefilmundertestconditions;orcontainingsuspendedsolids,TestMethodD93canbeused.Forcut-backasphaltsrefertoTestMethodsD1310andD3143.Note1-TheU.S.DepartmentofTransportation(RSTA)andU.S.DepartmentofLabor(OSHA)haveestablishedthatliquidswithaflashpointunder37.8?C(100?F)areflammableasdeterminedbythistestmethodforthoseliquidsthathaveaviscositylessthan5.5mm/s(cSt)at40?C(104?F)or9.5mm/s(cSt)orlessat25?C(77?F),ordonotcontainsuspendedsolidsordonothaveatendencytoformasurfacefilmwhileundertest.Otherflashpointclassificationshavebeenestablishedbythesedepartmentsforliquidsusingthistestmethod.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandcannotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmethodcanbeusedaselementsoffireriskassessmentthattakesintoaccountallofthefactorsthatarepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.RelatedStandardsareTestMethodsD93,D1310,D3828,D3278,andD3941.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatementssee8.2and8.3andrefertoMaterialSafetyDataSheets.
